Lodging

Hotels & neighborhoods

If you’ve never been to Durham (most of you!), we’d highly recommend staying in or near downtown as it's only an 11-minute drive to the venue. It's home to many of Durham's finest coffee shops, restaurants, and bars.

Other good neighborhoods for hotels & Airbnbs:

  • Trinity Park

  • Brightleaf

  • Old West Durham

  • Walltown

  • Near Duke's campus

extracurriculars

Optional events

Since we know many of you are traveling from afar, we set up some additional events to ensure we can spend as much time with you as possible.

Durham Bulls baseball game

We've reserved a box for the Friday night before the wedding (05/22). Even if you're not a baseball fan, these games are a ton of fun. Text Jake to let him know if you want to go as the limit is 20 people.

Hang at Atomic Brewing

In lieu of a rehearsal dinner, we're inviting everyone to a night-before-hangout-session at Atomic Brewing. We'll reserve a room and have some finger foods, and you can grab beers and other drinks at the bar. Let us know if you want to come!

FAQs

Your answer guide

We’ll be adding more questions over time, but if you have a specific question not listed below, you can always just text either of us :)

Where should I fly into?

The nearest airport is RDU (Raleigh-Durham International). It's about 20-25 minutes from downtown Durham.

Where are you registered?

98% of you are traveling in for this wedding, which is already incredibly expensive. Not to mention, we're in our mid-30s, we don't need a new toaster or cutlery. Instead of gifts, please consider donating to the Durham Animal Protection Society as that would bring us more joy. You can click the button at the bottom of the site to donate if that interests you!

What should I wear?

Wear something comfortable that makes you feel good! The ceremony and reception will be outdoors and late May temps in NC can get warm. Shoes comfortable for walking on a grass lawn.

Where do I park?

Free parking is provided at the museum’s main parking lot. The ceremony location is a very quick walk from the lot and there will be signs and staff directing you to where you’ll need to go.

Can I bring my kids?

Yes! They should've been included in your "text-vitation," so just include them when you RSVP.

What are we eating?

There will be a nice array of food. There should be items for everyone, but if you have a specific diet request, please list it in your RSVP (we got you covered, Allison, don't worry!)
